At its debut, the OFS-945S core-alignment fusion splicer offered the world’s highest fiber image magnification and was considered one of the most dependable fusion splicers on the market. It featured a 5-inch, high-resolution color LCD touchscreen with a user-friendly, intuitive GUI (Graphical User Interface), providing users with large, clear fiber images. By double-tapping the screen, users could zoom in and out, achieving magnification of up to 520x.

The splicer was also compatible with SOC (Splice-On Connectors), providing users in the FTTx field with an efficient and satisfactory experience, supported by a fast 13-second heating time. Additionally, its three LED lights provided bright illumination for users working in dark environments. The OFS-945S set a new industry standard for core-alignment fusion splicers in the telecommunications industry.
